Akila Wants Students to Wear long Trousers Instead of Shorts to Protect Them From Dengue

During a ceremony organized to hand out sanitary facilities and clean water,Minister of Education, Akila Viraj Kariyawasam stated,  that a majority of the Dengue cases among children have been reported among those wearing shorts as part of their school uniform. Hence, he wanted boys in areas affected the most by the dengue epidemic  to wear long trousers and girls to wear appropriate cloths  to cover their body and legs.
