Foreign Experts Team To Examine Uma Oya.
Uma Oya Project was launched in May 2011 under the patronage of former President Mahinda Rajapakshe. Allegations were made against Mahinda that he has ignored the expert opinion expressed then by the environmentalist and other social service organizations. End result is today’s plight.
To do research work and deep study of the Uma Oya Project, the Government sought services of foreign experts, who are well acquainted with tank building.
Accordingly, special teams comprised of experts from Norway and German are scheduled to arrive in Srilanka on the 2nd of August 2017, confirmed Minister Mahinda Amaraweera.
