Several spells of showers will occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and North-Western provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places elsewhere after 2.00p.m.
Fairly heavy showers (about 50 mm) can be expected at some places.
Fairly strong winds about 50 kmph can be expected in the Hambanthota district.
There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
