GMOA Objects Appointment of Prof. Colvin Gunaratne as Chairman of the SLMC
Minister of Health and Ingenious Medicine Rajitha Senaratne has appointed Professor Colvin Gunaratne as the Chairman of the Srilanka Medical Council in place of Professor Carlo Fonseka, whose period of service expired on 30th June 2017.
GMOA vehemently protested against the appointment of Professor Colvin Gunaratne stating, that the minister Rajitha Senaratne has made this appointment in violation of the Srilanka Medical Ordinance and without consulting the GMOA.
GMOA threatens to take trade union action against this appointment.
