Opening of a new Dengue Division Ward in Colombo National Hospital

 

Colombo National Hospital Director, Dr. Anil Jayasinghe said, that a new dengue division ward with 40 beds was inaugurated in Colombo National hospital. Along with this new 40 wards the total wards in National Hospital stands at 950.

Daily 150 dengue patients are being admitted. Already 380 patients affected by dengue are in wards and obtaining treatment. Out  of this 380 patients 50 patient’s situation is somewhat serious, he said. To provide treatment to dengue patients human resources including medical personnel had already been increased in the National Hospital to face any eventually.
