Closure of Anti Corruption Committee Secretariat

In the cabinet meeting held yesterday (11), all ministers have unanimously agreed to close down the anti Corruption Committee Secretariat, which cost Rs 9 million per month. Further, it was decided to transfer all complaints and relevant files in the custody of the Secretariat to be handed over to the Presidential commission on corruption and fraud.

Anti Corruption Committee Secretariat was widely commented as a body  of forwarding agent and worked on a political agenda.
