Unitary State & Protection of Buddhism in Proposed New Constitution

Minister of foreign affairs Ravi Karunayake said, that the government is determined to protect armed forces, which liberated the country from terrorism. In the proposed new constitution unitary state status of the country and foremost place for Buddhism will be enshrined.

We should not involve in promoting communalism to achieve political gains. Instead we should get together and work hard for the common development of the country, he said.
