Navy Rescued  an Elephant Caught by Current at Deep Sea

A Fast Attack Craft on routine patrol in the seas off Kokkuthuduwai, Kokilai yesterday, have noticed an elephant caught by current in the deep sea struggling. They sought assistance from another Fast Attack Craft on patrol and a team of navy divers were promptly directed to the location by the Navy. In a joint effort, they were able to rescue the elephant and handed over to the wildlife Department officials, who had also joined in the rescue operation. Later, they have guided the elephant towards the Yan Oya area in Pulmodai.
