Former SLRC Chairman Apologized to Producers in Open Court

In the year 2010 the then Chairman of the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation (SLRC) Prof.  Ariyaratne Athugala  and two others alleged to have threatened and assaulted  Planning Producers,  Kanchana Marasinghe, Herbert Kumara Alagiyawanna, Ravi Abeywickrema in connection with the telecasting of election related programmes during the 2010 Presidential Election.

The Srilanka Rupavahini Corporation (SLRC) former Chairman Prof.  Ariyaratne Athugala today apologized  as per  Sinhala tradition  to  complainants in open  Court  before the Colombo Chief Magistrate Lal Ranasinghe  Bandara.
