Srilankan Judiciary Under Control of Attorney General- UN Special Rapporteur

 Visiting United Nation Special Rapporteur Ben Emmerson alleged that the Attorney General has tied up the hands of the judiciary in Srilanka. This is against the rule of law and democracy. He  is empowered to rule out any  bail. This is being practiced and still in operation in Srilanka.

He made these observations  while addressing journalists before his departure from the island.
