The Singaporean Foreign Minister Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan has arrived on the island last night (17) on a state visit .
He is scheduled to meet President Maithripala Sirisena, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and Opposition Leader R. Sampanthan.
He will remain in the country till Friday (21) and a hold bilateral discussion with the Sri Lankan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ravi Karunanayake today (18), after which, both parties will preside over a joint press conference.

The Singaporean Foreign Minister will also be engaging in discussions with Ministers Patali Champika Ranawaka, Mangala Samaraweera, Malik Samarawickrama and Sagala Ratnayake.
Dr. V. Balakrishnan is scheduled to visit the Jaffna District, where he is due to meet with the Governor and Chief Minister of the Northern Province.
