Appointment of NCPC New Chairman Illegal

Member of North Central Provincial Council SM Ranjith says followed by tense situation created  during the NCPC meeting yesterday, the meeting was postponed. Thereafter, some members of the NCPC proposed and appointed a new Chairman, which is illegal. He said, legal action will be taken in this connection .

However, United National Party Provincial Councillor DM Amaratunga was appointed as the new Chairman of the North Central Provincial Council yesterday.
