Implementation of Strict Regulations to Regulate Operation of Buses in Western Province.

Western Province Transport Authority Chairman, Thusitha Kularatne  said, that quite a number of complaints have been received by them. It includes non issue of tickets, refusal to issue tickets and retaining the balance without paying to the passengers etc. Hence, it was decided to implement the regulations to compel bus operators to fulfill these shortcomings.

If a complaint is received from  a passenger or detected on any of the above shortcomings, after inquiry, route license issued will be cancelled.
