PoliceInvestigations Reveal Assailant of the Police Sargent in Nallur  is a Former LTTE Carder

A senior police officer directing the investigation revealed that the suspect , who shot at a police sergeant who provided security to  Jaffna High Court Judge M. Ilangcheliyan, is a former non-rehabilitated LTTE cadre. He is 39 year old Sivaraasaa Jayanthan joined the LTTE in 1994 at the age of 16, who had been previously arrested on suspicion of being connected to a homicide that had taken place in the year  2012. He was on bail while involved in the shooting.

Suspect  Sivaraasa Jeyanthan said to have surrendered to the police early in the morning today.
