GMOA  Demands  Cancellation of SAITM – BOI Agreement

Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA)  Secretary Dr. Haritha Aluthge said, as the SAITM  has violated one of the conditions in the agreement with the  Board of Investment (BOI), it should be cancelled forthwith. Violated condition is  that SAITM has failed to obtain approval from the Srilanka Medical Council  before establishing  a medical college. Dr. Aluthge said, that the GMOA will make this  request to the government during the meeting scheduled to be to with the Secretary to the Prime Minister tomorrow(29).
