Weather Forecast For 1st August 2017

Several spells of showers will occur in the Western, Central, Southern, Sabaragamuwa andNorth-westernprovinces.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the Eastern and Uva provinces and in the Mullaitivu and Vauniya districts after 2.00 p.m.

Fairly heavy falls (about 50mm) can be expected at some places in the Mullaitivu, Ratnapura, Kegalle, Kandy and Kaluthara districts.

Fairly strong winds about 40-50 kmph can be expected in the Southern province.

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
