CPC Workers Meets President Today
Last week Petroleum workers went on strike protesting against handing over of Trincomalee oil farm to India.
The Government of Srilanka declared Petroleum operations as an essential service and issued gazette notification. In the meantime, Petroleum Workers Union representative met President Maithripala Sirisena and reached a consensus. Followed by the discussion Petroleum Unions called off the strike.
During the last discussion President under took to continue the discussion with the Petroleum workers today (1).
As a follow up President meets Petroleum Workers Union representatives today at 11.30 am.
