Civil Security in Jaffna Strengthened by Police  

Due to  recent incidents  of  sword cutting  in Jaffna, which had been brought to the notice of the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Pujith Jayasundara,  who has decided to strengthened in the civil security in Jaffna.

The IGP had  made the decision and  issued  instructions  to the Police in Jaffna.

 Police Spokesman SP Gunasekara said, that assistance of the Police Special Task Force  would be obtain in this connection.

Police are  in the process of receiving information from intelligence divisions on the current  situation in the Jaffna region.
