Consumer Affairs Authority said, that traders and retailers should comply with the gazette notification which specified the maximum retail price on rice.
The maximum retail price of a locally produced kilogram of Samba was set at Rs 90, while a kilogram of Nadu rice was set at Rs 80 .
In the meantiime, the maximum retail price of a kilogram of red rice was set at Rs 78 . The price of a kilogram of imported samba rice is priced at Rs 80 while a kilogram of imported Nadu rice is set at Rs 75 .
