CP  Chief Minister Sarath  Spear Heading the Fight Against Postponing PC Election .

As from 1988  Provincial Council  Elections were held  on one day. For various other reasons PC  Elections were conducted on different days as from 1999. After the expiry of PC terms respective Governors taking over the Provincial administration will be an obstacle  in fulfilling the political responsibility and obligations .

In view of the above facts,  Central Province Chief Minister Sarath Ekkanayake has mobilized  the support of other Chief Ministers  to fight against the postponement of  the PC elections.

In this connection a discussions is  going on among  the Chief Ministers  to hold a conference , Central Province Chief Minister Sarath Ekkanayake disclosed this to  a Colombo media.
