Weather Forecast For 12th August 2017

There is a high possibility of afternoon thundershowers in the Eastern, Uva, Northern and North-Central provinces. Cloudy skies can be expected at most parts of the island.

Several spells of light showers will occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-western and Northern provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts.

Showers or thundershowers will occur elsewhere particularly after 2.00 p.m.

Fairly heavy falls (about 75mm) can be expected at some places in the Uva, North-central and Eastern provinces.

(There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.)
