No one can lay hands on people’s court – Mahinda

When journalist asked former President Mahinda Rajapakshe,  how he looked at the resignation of the Foreign Minister Ravi Karunanayke, who alleged to have accepted  tenancy and  purchase of a house for his family using funds provided by the owner of  Perpetual  Treasuries Ltd.
Mahinda responded by stating, that it was only a white wash and there are big powerful persons behind the central bank bond issue. All such people should be thoroughly investigated and prosecuted. In the people’s forum they stand accused. When the time comes they will deliver the verdict. No one can lay hands on People’s court, he added.
Meanwhile addressing the media former Minister Keheliya Rambukwe said , Ravi’s resignation is only a drama. This is the first episode. Whenthe last episode is staged, he will be appointed as a Minister again as what happened to Tilak Marapana for his involvement defending Avant Garde.First he resigned and kept quiet for some times and later raised his head as a Minister.
