Former FM Ravi Karunanayake Reported to Have Requested Not to Appoint a Permanent Foreign Minister?

Wide spread  news in circulation states  that the Former Foreign Minister Ravi Karunanayake, who has recently resigned from his portfolio  reported to have requested  the Government  not to appoint a permanent Foreign Minister.

Ravi Karunanayake said to have resigned  from his portfolio on the understanding with the Prime Minister that  he would be re appointed  to the same post in two months time . Hence, Ravi made this request . Thilak Marapana  is expected to be appointed as the Foreign Minister for these two months.
