Launching Priority Bus Lane System From Tomorrow

The priority bus  lane system  was set in motion as a means of mitigating the traffic congestion in and around Colombo.

Minister of Megapolis and Western Development, Patali Champika Ranawaka announced that the priority lanes for buses will  come in to operation from tomorrow (15) along roads between Moratuwa and Colombo and Battaramulla and Colombo that have three lanes.

He  further stated that the priority bus lanes would be in service from 6.00 am till 9.00 am on weekdays.

Private buses, Ceylon Transport Board (CTB) buses and buses transporting students will be allowed to use  said priority bus lanes.
