Weather Forecast For 16th August 2017

Fairly strong winds can be expected over the country (particularly in Uva province and Jaffna, Mannar, Kegalle, Avissawella, Maduruoya and Pottuvil areas) in next few days.

Showers or thundershowers will occur in the Northern Province.

Fairly heavy falls (about50mm) can be expected at some places in the Jaffna district.

Light showers can be expected at a few places in Western, Southern and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in the Puttalam district.

Showers or thundershowers may occur at few places in the Trincomalee district after 2.00 p.m..

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
