Mahinda Faction’s Demonstration Against 2 Years Disgusted Governance in Colombo
Regime change was effected on 8th January 2015, which was followed by the formation of current Good Governance Government after General Election results were released on 17th August 2015.
A group of SLFP Members of Parliament led by Mahinda Rajapaksa refused to cooperate with the National Government dominated by the UNP, and started functioning separately as the group called ‘’Joint Opposition’’.
Joint Opposition has staged a protest demonstration on the 18th August 2016. Followed by this, they organized the people and went on a Padayathra to Kandy. Likewise Joint Opposition carry out several protest demonstrations.
The latest being , the JO’s protest demonstration scheduled to stage at Lipton circle at 3pm tomorrow (18).
The Joint Opposition has decided to declare the day, current Government completes its’ second year in office as the ’’most disgusted day’’.
In tomorrow’s protest demonstration MPs belongs to the Joint Opposition, Provincial Councillors, Members of Local Government, Supporters of the JO, Mahinda Rajapaksa and his family members are expected to participate.
