New CB Deputy Governor Appointed

The Monetary Board, with the concurrence of the Minister of Finance, has promoted Assistant Governor, Mr. C J P Siriwardana to the post of Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) .

In a statement issued yesterday , the Central Bank announced that the promotion was made with effect from Saturday (August 19).

He has served as the Secretary to the Monetary Board of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka. Mr. Siriwardana, currently serves as a Director of LankaClear (Pvt) Ltd. and Colombo Dockyard PLC. He has also served as a Director of Ceylon Electricity Board, Provident Property Lanka Ltd., and Kandurata Development Bank; and an Observer of the Board of Directors of the Board of Investments (BOI).
