Wijeyadasa to Resign Today ?

Government sources revealed that Minister of Justice Wijeyadasa Rajapaksa had informed President Maithripala Sirisena that,  he would resign from his portfolio today(23).

Before announcing his resignation, he has planned to  visit the Buddha Sasana Ministry  and thank the officials.

Government sources said, MP Jayampathi Wickramaratne and Minister Talatha Athokorala’s names were recommended for the post of Minister of Justice. However,  majority of the Ministers and MPs preferred Jayampathi Wickramaratne to Minister  Talatha Athokorala.
