Cabinet Reviews Polythene Ban

Polythene manufactures are engaged in protest demonstrations demanding a time space for them  to switch on to other alternate industry and dispose their stock .The Government was sensitive to this issue.

In the cabinet meeting held yesterday, President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe have taken up the ban  on Polythene on priority basis and agreed final decision on the Polythene ban by January.
