UNP Decision On Wijeyadasa Will be an  Example to Other Parties

Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) General Secretary Duminda Dissanayake while addressing a press said, the UNP’s  action on Wijeyadasa Rajapaksha was a good example to other parties.

In response to a question asked by a journalist as to  why members of the SLFP were allowed to criticize  decisions made by the government, the Minister said, this is a good example for all  other parties watching.

When asked why the UNP decided to remove a Minister for acting against the collective responsibility of the cabinet, the Minister asked them to direct  the question to the UNP.

He also commented on the common candidate for the 2020 Presidential Elections saying that President Maithripala Sirisena was still the party’s overwhelming choice.
