Weather Forecast For 25th August 2017

Fairly strong winds about 40-50kmph can be expected at times over the Southern half of the island (particularly in the Colombo, Kaluthara, Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya, Matara and Hambantotadistricts)

Several spells of light showers will occur in the Western, SabaragamuwaandCentralprovinces and in the Galle and Matara districts.

Showers or thundershowers mayoccur at several places in the Batticaloa and Mullaitivu districts after 2.00 p.m.

(There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.)
