Government Has Taken Steps to Remove 25,000  Huts

In  Colombo 25,000 huts have been indentified . Money allocated for the welfare of  those living in these huts is not sufficient.

At the same time steps have been taken to remove 25,000 huts by the year 2020.  We proposed to build 10,000 houses for them.

 Similar to the way  the Government has providing houses in the North,  East and in Upcountry, houses should be provided  to the people living in Colombo town too.

Minister of Megapolis and  Western Development Patali Champika Ranawaka made this observation in an event held yesterday.
