Jaffna Boat  With G.C. E A/L Students Capsized

In Jaffna  7 students were travelling by boat to  participate and celebrate a friend’s birthday. They were sitting for the 2017 Advanced Level Examination and travelling on the boat when it capsized.

According to Kayts Police bodies of all six students, who were travelling by boat, have been found. Police did a search operation  and was able to rescue  one of the seven students alive.

The deceased are aged between 17 and 21 years. The post-mortem examinations will be conducted today while further investigations are conducted by the Kayts Police.
