SC Fixed Hearing Petition on 20th Amendment
Several parties including Pivithuru Hela Urumaya (PHU) leader MP Udaya Gammanpila have filed a petition against the 20th amendment to the constitution in the Supreme Court.
The petitioners have requested the Supreme Court to determine that the 20th amendment to the constitution should be referred to a referendum to be approved by the people.
The Supreme Court today (29) fixed 6th September as the date for the hearing of the petition .
