Indian Ocean Conference 2017 at Temple Trees Tomorrow 

The ‘Indian Ocean Conference-2017 is organized by India Foundation with the full support of the Sri Lankan government. This conference will begin tomorrow (31) and continue up to  1st September at Temple Trees in Colombo.
 More than 300 delegates from 40 countries will attend the conference which discusses peace and security of the Indian Ocean Region. The theme of this conference peace, development and prosperity. The conference will also  discuss ways and means to stop the transportation of drugs by drug traffickers through the Indian Ocean.
The opening session will be held on 31st August at 6 p.m. under the patronage of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, while the chief guest at the final session on 1st September is President Maithripala Sirisena.
