UNP Election Manifesto to Be Released Soon

 

Minister of Mass Media and Information Gayantha Karunathilake stated that the United National Front (UNFGG) elections manifesto will be released next week.

Speaking to the media yesterday, Karunathilake pointed out that the manifesto will include an extensive programme, with mega development works and much needed relief to the people.

The programme includes converting the Western Province into a metropolis, renovation of 2500 rural roads, large scale development work, development of the coastal belt from Bentota to Mirissa as a tourist zone, handing over ownership of houses to tenants of flats and establishment of a Volkswagen Assembly Plant in Kurunegala.

Karunathilake added that the UNP-led government will make sure that the good governance principles of January 8 will be continued, he added.
