IUSF  Forms ‘’ Students  People  Power Stage’’   To Fight Against SAITM

The Inter University Students Federation Convenor Lahiru Weerasekera said, as the Government has failed to abolish the South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine (SAITM), they proposed to form an organization called ‘’Students  People  Power Stage’’   to fight against SAITM tomorrow (7) .

The IUSF Convenor said,  other student societies and federations will join the Inter University Students Federation in future to voice their concerns over issues related to universities.

Silence of the government on SAITM issue  cannot  stop Sathyagraha campaign now carried out by the IUSF students. .

Initial protest campaign will commence  at Galle  tomorrow (7).  Employees of  the private sector in Ratmalana too is expected to participate in tomorrow’s   demonstration.
