An Emergency Meeting Between Mahinda & PM

An emergency meeting was held between former president Mahinda Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe at the parliamentary complex yesterday (7).

Certain views were exchanged in connection with the new Acts including the 20th amendment put forward in parliament recently.

Former President’s Media Division said,  that at this discussion, special attention was drawn towards the right of field officers to come forward as candidates for the election, lost as a result of the Local Government Institution election amendment Act.
