Recovery of Stolen Assets through Srilankan Courts?

Verdict given in white Sil cloth case by High Court is an indicator that stolen assets could be recovered from those, who robbed it, if proper investigation by police and follow up action taken by the attorney general Department officials to successfully prosecute it and the determined judges give verdict. This is because  the power that was in charge  of the country then reported to be all out with the support of the Joint Opposition to pay Rs 50 million under the guise of collecting funds from public using names of public as contributors. On the other hand people welcomed the verdict given belatedly. Public expects more verdicts in the near future.

Reports reached us revealed that those who have been frequenting FCID and courts making statements to press laughingly “that this has become a routine exercise for us” are under mortal fear that their sentence is nearing them.
