Bail Granted to DIG Lalith Jayasinghe in Vidya Murder Case
Former Senior DIG Lalith Jayasinghe, who is alleged to have harboured, concealed and assisted the main suspect of the Vidya Sivaloganathan rape and murder case has been granted bail by the Kayts Magistrate .
He was granted cash bail of Rs3 lakhs and Rs 5 lakhs surety bail and released . Further the Court has ordered to impound his passport and prohibited foreign travel. Further he was ordered to report at the Colombo CID office on first Monday of every month . The case was postponed to 5th October.
