Weather Forecast For 15th September 2017

Fairly strong winds can be expected over the country (particularly in Northern, North-central and North-western provinces) and surrounding sea areas from tomorrow.

Several spells of light showers will occur at Western,Sabaragamuwaand Centralprovinces and in Galle and Matara districts.

Showers or thundershowers may occur at few places in Uva province and in Ampara and Batticaloa districts after 2.00 p.m.

Fairly strong gusty winds (40-50 kmph) can be expected over Northern Province of the island.

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
