International Day of Democracy

 Today is the International day of Democracy. To mark this day, Srilankan Election Commission has organised awareness programme series about democracy and International Franchise. Chairman of the Election Commission Mahinda Deshapriya said, district election offices are organizing this awareness programmes. Awareness programmes under the caption “Voting Rights is the Live Line of Democracy and Protect Voting Rights” are being conducted. Under these posters, banners, street dramas, speeches and processions are organised.
