Railway Employees Poised to Go on 48  Hour Strike

As the Railway authorities have failed  to address the demand made by the Railway Monitors Union  regarding their salary anomalies , they have decided to go on 48 hour strike from 1200 hrs on 20^th . Convener Lal Ariyasena said, if the authorities continue to ignore their demand before the scheduled strike on 20^th, they will go on strike.

Further, he said that the Railway Controllers, Station Masters and Engine Drivers  have expressed their  solidarity  to join the strike.
