464 Female Police Constables Promoted as Sergeants

Police officers complained that there was delay in police promotions.

The National Police Commission has taken steps  to promote police officers last week the Commission granted promotions to over 2500 policemen. Now the NPC has approved the promotions of 464 female police constables to the posts of police sergeants.

Their decision has been communicated to IGP Pujith Jayasundera, said the Police Media Unit today
