Parliament has been adjourned until 12 noon today following a tense situation during the debate on the Provincial Councils Elections (Amendment) Bill.
Speaker Karu Jayasuriya adjourned the session and called for a party leaders’ meeting as MPs from the ‘Joint Opposition’ caused an uproar and resorted to unruly behaviour during the debate.
