An individual in possession of a sharp weapon attempted to enter the Colombo official residence of former President Kurunegala District Parliamentarian Mahinda Rajapaksa last evening was arrested.
The 25 year old suspect had behaved in a suspicious manner and demanded to see the former President and threatened to commit suicide, if he was not granted a meeting.
It appears that he wanted to meet Mahinda Rajapaksa regarding a personal matter. He expected Mahinda Rajapaksa’s assistance.
Further investigation are conducting into the incident.
