Power Cut Disrupted Parliamentary Proceedings A Report Called by Ajith Perera

It is not a new phenomenon that Parliament experiences power disruption. In earlier occasions too this happened. When the Minister of Provincial Councils and Local Government, Faizer Mutapha was presenting the draft amendments to the Municipal Council, Urban Council and Pradeshiya Sabha ordinances, suddenly, electricity went off.
Although all lights in Parliament went off, the microphones in the chamber functioned. Agitated Acting Minister of Power and Renewable Energy, Ajith P. Perera had requested the Ceylon Electricity Board to submit a detailed report pertaining to the power cut that took place in the Parliament Chamber yesterday (26).
