Ready To Romance Oviya In Reel Life: Bigg Boss Tamil Winner Aarav

The recently concluded first season of Bigg Boss Tamil was a big hit. Two things ensured that it became a rage among the Tamil-speaking television viewers. One, its host Kamal Haasan and two, its superstar contestant Oviya Helen.

One of the highlights of the 100 days of the reality game show was Oviya’s failed romantic endeavour with her co-contestant Aarav, who went on to win the title of the first season. The relationship between them on the show played out like an interesting romantic-comedy film. It started off well, but their relationship soon went downhill after Aarav started distancing himself from Oviya knowing her real feelings for him.

“I knew Oviya was interested in me, but I thought she was just playing around. Once I realised it was serious, I told her it won’t work out. She was also confused and not in the right state of mind,” Aarav told a leading English newspaper, as he returns to his normal life after being locked up for 100 days inside a fancy house.

The love story in the Bigg Boss ended in a heartbreak and sent Oviya into bad mood swings. She grew restless inside the house and began acting out. Eventually, she said she needs help for her current state of mind and even jumped into the pool to leave the show halfway.

Considering her emotional stress, the showrunners let her go that made millions of her fans upset.

Aarav feels that there is no bad blood between Oviya and him as she even congratulated him on the stage at Saturday’s finale. While he was reluctant to forge romantic ties with Oviya in real life, he has no qualms to romance her on the big screen. “If people want to see us together on screen, I am up for it,” he said. “I’m ready.”
