European Union election observers in the island today

 

European Union representatives participating in the General Election monitoring will arrive in the island today.

The Election Commissioner has invited three foreign monitoring organizations to come to Sri Lanka for monitoring the general election this time.

Reports say that in addition to the EU, Commonwealth election monitors and South Asian Election Management Officers’ Forum have thus been informed to participate in monitoring the election.
