Police sought assistance of the Public to arrest Arambepola Rathnasara Thero and Waduwa Prakeeth Chanaka Gunatilleke, who attacked Rohingya refugees kept under UNHCR custody in Galkissa recently.
One of the wanted man Prakeeth is an ex police officer dismissed from the police service, who is responsible for attacking a mosque and caused damage to it. In addition he was accused of threatening the Principal of the Panadura Ladies college. Altogether three pending court cases are there against him
Public is requested to inform the nearest police station regarding their where about or any other information that will help police to arrest them. Both of them are absconding arrest. Public could also phone 0718591727 and provide information, Police media spokesman said.
